Peaceful River in the Fall

The Nestucca river at Pacific City, Oregon in November... in the fall, the calm is always before the storm, but in the meantime we enjoy a moment of quiet beauty. Fall colors contrast with cold, blue waters even as the sky is gradually overtaken by clouds.

Nature is ever-changing, just as our lives... moving on toward what is next. We don't think about it that much, Instead, we concern ourselves with what is happening right now, And that is good, because what is coming in the future will come whether we occupy our minds with it or not, And if we choose to worry about the future, we miss enjoyment of the present moment,

Be here... now. This is all we really have. And fortunately, it is enough.
